Vikas Purohit is brought on board by Meta to serve as the Head of the Global Business Group

Vikas Purohit was selected to serve as Meta’s new Director of Global Business Group for the company’s India operations. Arun Srinivas, Director and Head of Ads Business for Meta in the nation, will serve as Purohit’s direct supervisor moving forward.

According to a statement released by the firm, he will be responsible for driving the company’s strategic connection with the most prominent brands and agencies in India in order to propel Meta’s revenue development across the most important channels in the nation. “India’s top firms and agencies are playing a critical role in the country’s burgeoning digital economy and are establishing unique business models that are motivating marketers internationally,” added Srinivas. “These models are driving marketers to create their businesses in new and creative ways.”

Additionally, Purohit will collaborate with various media and creative ecosystems in order to hasten the adoption of digital technologies by the most prominent advertising agencies and companies.
In the past, he has held positions with businesses like Tata CLiQ, Amazon, Reliance Brands Limited, Aditya Birla Group, and Tommy Hilfiger.

His professional life began with the Aditya Birla Group, after which he moved on to Hilfiger and eventually became the retail head at Reliance Brands Limited. While working with Amazon, he was an integral part of the team that led the development of Amazon Fashion. His most recent position was as CEO of Tata CLiq, where he had previously held the position of chief operating officer. Purohit attended the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore and graduated with a management degree.
